After winning the double round-robin phase, the Delhi Capitals, captained by Meg Lanning, advanced straight to the finals by topping the points table. Mumbai advanced to the final by defeating Gujarat Giants by 47 runs in the elimination round. They dismissed Gujarat for 166 after amassing 213/4 in their 20 overs. Delhi has previously defeated the opposing team in each of the finals’ meetings this season. The Capitals prevailed by two wickets in the first match in Vadodara and by nine wickets in the second match in Bengaluru.
